A little history of how Bowtech bows got started: In 1999, John Strasheim and a partner had in mind some innovative concepts to change the way bows were designed and manufactured. In 2000, Bowtech launched the Black Knight and marketed it as the "fastest bow in the world." With much success from their first product, they gradually expanded until 2004, a year of tremendous growth for technological advancements in archery. It was also in 2004 that Bowtech acquired Diamond Archery, which further propelled its growth.
Over the next four years, Bowtech continued to expand and acquire new innovations and absorb smaller archery outfits. They also expanded their manufacturing capabilities by purchasing and moving operations to a larger facility. In 2007, the company made a big move by introducing Center Pivot riser technology. Though it received mixed reviews in the field, it still contributed to the Bowtech bows' reputation for innovation.
In July of 2008, Bowtech began to manufacture a new line of Ross bows, and became the industry leader of technological advancements.
